Naruto Uzumaki
Umiko's POV
I woke up in a soft material, which is probably a bed. I sat up and groaned from the soreness in my body. I'm guessing that Kakashi put me in my apartment after training.
I sat up and placed my bare feet on the floor. I stood up and walked out of my room to downstairs.
I walked to the fridge and opened it and felt for the eggs. I took 2 out and cracked them in a bowl. After that, I whisked them and prepared a pan. Grabbing a stool, so I can reach it, I poured some oil and moved it around.
I added the eggs and flipped it again. I started to scramble the eggs with a spoon so I was having scramble eggs. I put it on a plate and walked to the fridge again, and felt for the box of orange juice. I grabbed a bottle and sniffed it. Orange. I smiled and poured it in a cup.
After breakfast, I washed the plates and and opened the door and stepped out of the door. I closed it and sniffed the air and smiled.
I heard people talking and kids playing. Then, people started to whisper.
"Isn't that the blind girl that came?"
"What is the freak doing here?"
"Why did the Hokage let that freak come here?"
"She's just like that blonde freak."
It broke my heart to hear them say that. But I was curious who this 'blonde' person was.

I walked up to him/her and sat on the other, swing catching his/her attention. "Hey, why aren't you playing with the other kids?" I asked.
"Because the other kids won't let me and they won't be my friend. Plus, they call me a freak." He sadly said.
"Well, many people called me a freak. My name is Umiko, and I'll be your friend." I smiled at him.
"Really? Are you sure?" I nodded.
"I promise I will be your friend and stay by your side! I will always protect you even after you become a ninja! Even if I give up my life I swear I will stay by your side forever! I will sacrifice my life to protect you!" I promised.
Naruto couldn't believe what he just heard. No one had ever said that to him "Really?!"
"Really!" I said and patted his head.
He smiled brightly "Yay! Ok, then since I'm your friend, I will protect you from anything that hurts you! We've got each others back! I'm Naruto Uzumaki and I'm gonna be the next hokage! Believe it!"
I smiled "So, Naruto, wanna go to Ichiraku's ramen? My treat!"
"Sure!" We climbed off the swings and I followed him.
"So, Umi-chan-" He started.
"Umi-chan?" I looked at him.
"Well, yeah your name is Umiko so I'll call you Umi-chan." He said shyly.
"Ok! I'll call you, Naru-kun!" I smiled.
"Alright! So, why do they call you a freak?" He asked.
"Well, I actually don't know." I shrugged. "What about you?"
"I don't know either." He sighed.
I smelt noodles. "We're here!"
We went in and sat down. "Hey old man!" Naruto yelled.
"Oh, Naruto! Who's this?" A old voice said.
"This is Umiko! She's my new friend!" He yelled.
"Nice to meet you." I smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Umiko." I felt him smile. "Which one would you like today?"
"One beef ramen!" Naruto yelled.
"One Miso ramen, please." I said.
"Comin' right up!"
"So Naru-kun, how old are you?" I asked.
"6! Believe it!"
I chuckled. "Well, I'm 6 too!"
"Hey Umi-chan, what happened to your eyes?" He said, curiously.
"Oh this? I'll tell you someday later."
"Here are your ramens!" He placed the bowls in front of us.
"Arigato!" I snapped my chopsticks into two.
"Itadakimasu!" We both dug in and it was delicious.
I finished first and paid for our noddles. "Ah, well thank you for being my friend, Naru-kun. See ya, tomorrow." I waved.
"Bye!" I walked put and headed home.
I opened the door, closed it and walked upstairs to sleep.
I took a shower and changed into pajamas and hopped into bed.
