New Zoom log-in step Starting Thursday, Sept. 3, Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) students will have to log in to Zoom when joining their first scheduled class. In StudentVue, students can join a class under their scheduled meetings or by clicking the Calendar tab and selecting the Join Now button next to the meeting. When they click the Join Now button for their first meeting, a Zoom log-in page will appear. Students will need to follow the steps below to verify their Zoom account. Students will use StudentVue accounts to access live instruction, how-to steps below The first day of school for Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) students is Monday, Aug. 31. Teachers will present live instruction using a secure-Zoom connection in Synergy, the student information system connected to StudentVue and ParentVue. Schools are finalizing student schedules and will share them with parents and students by next week. The Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) ParentVue, StudentVue and TeacherVue systems will be unavailable from 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18 while the system completes an update. Beginning Nov. 18, parents, students and teachers will have to use a new web address in order to access the programs. CCPS is moving its data storage from the student information system, Synergy, to a new cloud-based environment. The new www.ccboe.com website is set to launch on Tuesday, Jan. 18. School sites will also feature a new design to deliver a cohesive look.The launch may result in the site being inaccessible for at least an hour on Tuesday. Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) last updated its website design in 2017. The new look was developed with input from Finalsite, a company that has designed websites for more than 8,000 schools around the world. Due to a current high positive COVID-19 percentage rate for Charles County and high testing demand, Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) will reopen from winter break on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, for virtual instruction. Students will participate in virtual instruction for the week of Jan. 3 through 7. Any extension to virtual instruction will be shared with staff and families as quickly as possible. In consultation with the Charles County Department of Health, Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) has closed two high schools to students for in-person learning next week. Starting Monday, Dec. 20, through Wednesday, Dec. 22, St. Charles and Westlake high schools are closed to students for in-person learning. The last day for curbside meals at participating school sites is Wednesday, June 16. Wednesday, June 16, is the last day of school for CCPS students. The following are updates to the curbside meals program. The site at St. Charles High School is closed May 28, and June 1-3 to accommodate parking for CCPS high school graduations.
