Lemon Garlic Aioli Recipe: Easy Homemade Sauce (1)

Looking for a simple, low-carb, and flavorful condiment that can elevate any dish? Look no further than garlicky aioli sauce. It's creamy, tangy, and incredibly versatile.

I make it all the time! It's equally perfect as a dipping sauce for french fries or healthy chip alternatives and drizzled over crab bites.

And the best part? It's incredibly easy to make because it starts with store-bought mayo.

Traditional aioli is a Mediterranean sauce made from scratch with egg yolks, extra-virgin olive oil, and garlic. On a side note, they served it alongside a basket of bread instead of butter when I dined in a fancy restaurant in Spain!

But you can make a creamy, tangy version using good mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, and fresh garlic.

Why? Because egg yolks and oil are the main ingredients in mayonnaise, making it a fantastic shortcut. And the nice thing is you won't have to deal with raw eggs or drag out a food processor or immersion blender.

I guarantee you'll turn to this easy aioli recipe whenever you want to turn a dish into something special.

Both aioli and mayonnaise are made with egg yolks and oil. However, aioli has a more robust flavor due to the addition of garlic and is made with olive oil. Conversely, mayonnaise is generally made with a neutral oil, like canola, soybean, or avocado oil, resulting in a subdued flavor.
