Your Fit-Out Options in more detail

Experience the difference - at HUF HAUS, European market leader for modern post-and-beam architecture made of timber and glass.
To allow you to discover the advantages of HUF HAUS today, we have compiled a list of the most thrilling services included in the basic price of your house for you on this page.

Details Floor Coverings, Sanitary, Blinds

Floor Coverings, Wall Tiles and Skirting Boards

On the ground floor, the hallway, kitchen, dining area and living room are covered with a fine stoneware tile, format 30/60 cm. Branded carpets are laid in the other rooms of the ground floor and on the top floor.

In creating the working drawings, the tile dimensions are already noted and accounted for. Wall and floor tiling grids are coordinated so that the tiles align. The frameless glazing has an elegant, level height transition from the floor covering to the sill threshold.

Exclusive Sanitary Ware

As part of the basic fittings for your HUF house, you can look forward to a large selection of high-quality sanitaryware and an all-inclusive package, as we plan and implement your entire bathroom from the bath tub and hand shower to the clear-glass shower cubicle, washbasin and fittings.

We exclusively use high-quality materials from leading manufacturers.

Control lighting at the push of a button: External blinds

The entire glass facade on the ground floor with clerestory is equipped with electrically powered external Venetian blinds. The moving horizontal slats guarantee flexible protection from the sun that can be adjusted to suit any time of day or season. The external blinds provide privacy and glare protection, but above all shade from the sun. With its outstanding light-directing and light-adjusting abilities, the external blinds support the overall architectural appearance in which light is a constantly changing and living design element.

More information about the blinds in the first floor can be found in the building description.

A clean aesthetic for indoors: Plastered internal walls

In your HUF house, the visible post-and-beam structure is manufactured from laminated timber. All inner walls on the ground and top floors go all the way to the ceiling or roof. For the inside walls, we use exclusively a wood fibre insulation material rather than mineral wool insulation.

The interior of your house shines with a clean aesthetic; the walls are given a sophisticated finish with finely-textured plaster rendering with plaster profile.

Details Glazing

Maximum transparency

One of the HUF house’s outstanding architectural features is the fully glazed gable with typical laminated timber post-and-beam structure.

The glass elements that extend to floor depth combine to form the transparent gable facade. In accordance with your floor plan and the corresponding structural engineering, your house can be planned and constructed with an all-glass gable – at no extra charge.

What’s more, the glazing of your timber-frame house is designed as triple glazing with quality-controlled thermal insulation glass. Particularly in winter, the large gable glazing is able to harness the heat of the sun when it is low in the sky. If you wish, both gable views can be designed as all-glass gables.

Characteristics of the external glazing:

  • U-value: 0.5 W/m²K in accordance with DIN EN 673
  • G-value: 0.48 in accordance with DIN EN 410
  • Sound resistance: R'w 41dB

Floor-to-ceiling glazing and clerestory

The frameless glazing of the external wall structure that extends all the way to the floor creates a harmonious connection between the outside and inside living area and is included in the price of the house.

The unique clerestory glazing between the frame and the ceiling allows for an additional light level. Tiltable clerestory windows also provide overhead ventilation just below the ceiling. Additional glazing at this height ensures natural light throughout the day - even above the closed wall panels. It also gives the homeowner design flexibility, especially for ancillary rooms such as the guest toilet or storage rooms. Hence, valuable floorspace is preserved and maximised, while ventilation and lighting are still guaranteed. The structure of the clerestory glazing is the same as the exterior glazing.

Windows and turn-tilt doors

Particularly innovative products of exceptional quality are the wood and aluminum turn-tilt doors and windows. The frames and casem*nts are made of the highest quality wood on the inside and anodized aluminum on the outside (in accordance with the guidelines for the Institute of Window technology eV, Rosenheim). For the glazing, a special triple glazed, quality-assured thermal insulation glass is used.

In addition to the integrated access lock (access prevention lock when the handle is in the tilted position), all turn-tilt windows and doors are equipped with AhS security fittings (safety catch mechanism enabled through a mushroom-head security lock of special steel) according to the guidelines of the Quality Association for Locks and Fittings e.V., Velbert. The window handles are branded products (FSB Alu or equivalent).

Details Roof & Balcony

Roof Overhang

The highly insulated roof is designed as a purlin roof. The visible purlins are made of high-quality laminated timber.
The wide roof overhang on the gable and eaves side of the HUF house typical purlin roof offers protection from the weather and sun and emphasises its stately, open character.

Balcony

In the HUF house ART series, the balconies of your home are manufactured from durable laminated timber with a rainproof design. This type of structure also protects the facade of the house from weather damage. Any rainwater that falls is drained away through aluminium downpipes. The glazing of the balcony balustrade echoes the transparency of the HUF construction.

Upon request, your HUF House MODUM can also be equipped with balconies.

Details Heating

Heating System

The environment is full of a great deal of unused energy. HUF HAUS does not use fossil fuels to heat. Instead, we have committed ourselves to using heat pump technology as a standard technology in our homes. This heat pump technology allows for energy to be collected and for some of it to be used to heat the home and some for hot water, the heat being distributed intelligently and to where it is needed.

Your heating system will include a well-insulated heat-buffer-storage tank that is specially proportioned for your house size. The entire electrical wiring of the heating system is part of the services provided by HUF HAUS.
